The Scotties Tournament of Hearts aka The Canadian Women’s Curling Championship started yesterday and is now in full swing. Their entertainment venue is located at the Kamloops Curling Club on Victoria Street and the fun and games commenced last night with the Scotties Patch Kickoff Party. There were plenty of games to play and the music was provided by local stars Forum. As usual they put on a good show, both musically and visually. The sets I saw included a mix of classic rock and country songs.

The games had people on them at all times. There was axe-throwing, and a form of curling using small rocks on a shuffleboard table top and a few Jenga tables. On the other side there was Cornhole being played at a fairly competitive level.

It appeared that everyone was having a good time playing games, dancing and enjoying the music. Curling takes place at the Sandman Centre. Check https://www.curling.ca/2023scotties/draw/ for the Curling schedule. Check https://www.curling.ca/2023scotties/patch/ for the entertainment schedule. There is no fee to enter the Scotties Patch. The curling and entertainment go on until Sunday February 26.
