On September 27 Kris Ruston appeared at Pizza Pi in downtown Kamloops. This was his release party for his new EP called Reprise of Love and Madness. The venue was quite full. Pizza Pi is an ideal venue for singer/songwriter shows such as this. Ruston opened with a couple of tracks from past works. Then he played the entire album.
It was very well received. Ruston is a talented, local musician, composer and music producer. He recorded the entire album in his home studio in Whitecroft, BC. He played all the instruments heard of the album.
Ruston posted on social media, “These songs are my own snapshots—memories, chords and melodies that will one day be forgotten. But this process, this rhythm, was worth everything to me while I made this record. I have never worked so hard on anything, and I am grateful for having had the time and determination to create and share it.”
