From time to time, recent weather has put a damper on Music in the Park, but, on July 18 the music stalwarts hung around to hear the sounds of blues guitarist Steve Kozak and his mates.

This wonderful blues band from Vancouver put on a great show and it is unfortunate the weather was not more cooperative. Music in the Park is nightly from 7:00 to 8:30 at Riverside Park until the end of August.

On Wednesday July 23 it was a beautiful sunny day. The Downtown Farmer’s Market was busy selling their summer harvest. Near the middle of the market a family band called Mashed Bananas was playing tunes.

They played a nice rendition of “Hotel California.” This song was a huge hit for the Eagles. The all ages band seemed to be enjoying themselves and did a nice job playing the iconic song.
