Punk/Folk/Grunge and More Sells Out at the Kami

The Kami Inn was the host venue for the Kamloops tour stop of Calgary’s Quit It! on Saturday April 22. Billed as a band that “provides heart-pumping rock by committee,” they did not disappoint. They played songs from their ever increasing catalogue. Their mix of rock and punk kept the mosh pit/dance floor full throughout their set. They are on a grueling tour of Alberta and B.C. Hosts SoundCity Hooligans, Sweater Kittens and solo act Jon Creeden, all played great sets.

Local punk heroes Soundcity Hooligans, rocked the Kami! They provided a wild, uptempo set for their fans.

The second act of the night were the popular Sweater Kittens. They are billed as a “grunge | garage | dumpster | glam femme rock band.” They also played a great set and got the dance floor/mosh pit jumping.

The opening act was Jon Creeden from the east coast. His unique blend of folk punk got the night of musical fusion off to a great start.

It was a fun night of music. The acts highlighted various rock genres and fusions. The sold-out crowd thoroughly enjoyed themselves and the Kami Inn staff did an awesome job of adding to the enjoyment.
