

On Thursday August 4 the Kamloops NorthPaws baseball team played their final home game of the regular season against the Kelowna Falcons in front of a large crowd. The NorthPaws won this exciting contest 5-3. The NorthPaws are off to Bellingham for their final series of the regular season beginning Friday night. This series will decide if they make the playoffs.

The victory over the Falcons clinches the inaugural BC Cup title for the NorthPaws. This is a friendly competition between all four British Columbia based teams and their respective mayors.


Before the game the Mike MacKenzie Band provided the entertainment on the stage outside the stadium with their Led Zeppelin tribute. Their drummer performed the Moby Dick solo and the full band rocked out to Zeppelin favourites Immigrant Song, Rock and Roll and many others.






The Mike MacKenzie Band will be playing at the Blue Grotto on Friday August 5 and Saturday August 6.
The weather was wonderful, the beer was cold and the popcorn was delicious. This was another very entertaining night provided by the Kamloops NorthPaws.
