She Hangs Brightly Shines at the Pogue Mahone

On Saturday October 5th I caught the first set of She Hangs Brightly from Vernon at the Pogue Mahone Irish Alehouse. The four piece band, fronted by vocalist Eryn Kleyh, had a sixties psychedelic vibe, which shined through beautifully during their cover of Jefferson Airplane’s “Don’t You Want Somebody to Love.” DSCN0337

They currently have the Wolfman EP available that contains original music. They played one track about “a shitty break-up” and a very inventive rock version of the Frank Sinatra classic “New York, New York.” Earlier they did a great cover of the classic Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young hit “Ohio.” The rest of this talented foursome are veterans Luke Kowalski on bass, Ken McGregor holds down the drum chair and Dean Gordon-Smith is on guitars.
