Multi-national award winning blues rock artist Steve Hill performed at the Blue Grotto, before a small audience on September 26. His one-man-band show had him singing, and playing his guitar while simultaneously hitting cymbals and using his feet on a variety of other drums and percussion instruments.
This Juno Award winner is not a novelty act. He is one of the best guitarists I have seen in some time. He showed off his substantial talent with a set that included electric blues songs and others by Stevie Ray Vaughan, Led Zeppelin, and Jimi Hendrix. His audience was very appreciative.
Matt Stanley did a great job providing the opening act and offered his versions of songs by Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, Neil Young and others.
