Great Entertainment at the Barnhartvale Coffee House

On Saturday Feb 23rd the Barhartvale Coffee House was held in the Barnhartvale Community Centre. There is a nice, homey atmosphere at the Barnhartvale Coffee House. The hall is surprisingly large and the elevated stage makes for great sight lines and the sound is very good. The first part of the evening is the open mic segment and a variety of single acts and groups provided the full house with country, blues, bluegrass, Irish pop,  many other forms of roots music and even a poet.

Besides the musical acts, the concession sells a variety of tasty baked goods, along with coffee and tea for one dollar per item! While the audience at the Barnhartvale Coffee House is primarily adult, the vibe is friendly and children are welcomed.

After the intermission, it was time for the featured act. This time it was local favourite Lindsay May. She played selections from her four albums and provided anecdotes about her musical career. She is constantly performing and her music has taken her through Canada, the US and Germany.  She was a big hit with the coffeehouse crowd.Lindsay4
